Week 11
We read a section in our books about wire frames and were asked to create wireframes for our sites according to all of our findings. My over all findings lead to me having less on the home page cause the navigation was the biggest issue. So this is what i came up with
The top one is the homepage wire frame and the bottom is the sub page.

Week 10 Out of class Persona
We were asked to create a persona for the user of our websites. I choice to make my persona about a middle ages women with children that lives within this community. After the phone call to the township building I realized that the general person visiting this sight would be anyone in the community generally an adult looking for information about where they live. This is why I choice to create a mother who is a school consoler. This is the first draft of my persona.

Week 10 Homework
This is the finished product of my site map. I reorganized the spacing and made the map flow better. I added a key which I did not have before and then I added my title. In class, we were asked to call the company or people in charge of the website we were working with. I left a message on the machine of the township building after a few calls and got a hold of the women in charge. Mrs. Walsh was were helpful and informed me that the users of this website were business owners and people within the community. There was not a specific age range but anyone and everyone who needed to obtain general informations an rules or regulations for businesses or families who wanted information about the community.

week 10In class
Today in class, we went over our site maps with in small groups and they gave us feed back on how to fix them. For mine I was told that color would help make it more visually appealing. I needed to work on the spacing cause there were large blank areas and that I would be careful of the size and spacing of the text. So when we had time to work on our maps I began fixing all of these issues.
Week 9 out of class
This is my finished site map for my website After class i connected all of the boxes and changes fonts and sizes the words are a little tight I'm not sure if it works.

1.6.1 2013 Budget
I choice to arrange my site map like this because i looked at the information that was grouped together most often from all of our card sorting. Administration and living in the community were the most common. I renamed then to accommodated some of the cards that did not fit in a specific place. In the administration section I split it into two parts because in my sorting a number of people did this. School district was also one that was a common repeat. This one was the most common of all the sorting i think this is because the titles are all very similar. Finace was paired with 2013 budget which makes since to be but im unsure of what category this chould go alone with

Week 8b out of class Card Sorting activity
In class on Wednesday we did a series of different card sorting activities. Three people took a look at our cards and sorted them in the best way that they could giving them different categories for each group then over the weekend we had people do a closed card sorting activies where the participants looked through the cards and sorted then named the categories. The results to the closed card sorting activity were 2 people used the same catagories. and three people had the same administrations catagories. This helped me realize that adimistartion would probally be an important thing to take a look at and have as a main catagorie for our final project
For the closed card sorting with categories I had five categories which were the following Administration, Community Guidelines , Community Resources Meetings school district and Quick links. The first person who sorted in the closed sorting actually added another category of community Data.
The next person for the open sorting also added another category of within the community. I liked this category she put things in her like the fire department and the public works. I thought this worked well because it includes parks and recreation which was something I was having difficult finding a place for.
My final participant for this did not add any new categories but they had a totally new view on some of the cards and where they went.
I looked into the closed card sorting into more depth and this is the results of all three.
It was interesting to see the sections In dark blue are the ones that are exactly the same. The admissions, Community Guidelines and Meeting categories have a lot of similarities. This was something that was not questioned as much as the rest of them. Quick links was all over the place having a few that were constant and a few that were not as much. Lower providence township facebook was put in the quick link categories by every participant.
